What is The Partnership Exchange?

The Partnership Exchange is a fun, facilitated evening built around two carefully designed, interactive activities. There are no panels and no PowerPoint presentations — just space for honest conversation, shared problem-solving and connection.

The format supports charities and businesses to:

  • connect and create meaningful partnerships that lead to tangible change

  • share common challenges and opportunities

  • explore what support is needed, beyond money

  • identify what skills, resources or insight others in the room can offer

  • turn good conversations into clear next steps

The evening is designed to feel human, supportive and genuinely helpful, with charities and businesses meeting on equal footing.

Why this event matters

Many organisations are feeling the squeeze. Charities are being asked to do more with less, while businesses are navigating their own pressures and looking for meaningful, practical ways to support their communities.

The Partnership Exchange widens the lens beyond funding and recognises that support can take many forms — including skills, time, ideas, insight, space and connections. There is a huge amount of untapped expertise and generosity within our local business community, alongside deep knowledge, innovation and lived experience held by charities that is too often under-recognised.

Brighton & Hove has a strong reputation for collaboration and doing things differently. This evening brings that spirit into practice, creating space for charities and businesses to meet on equal footing and explore what mutual support can really look like.

The Pearce Foundation and Enjoolata Foundation already work in a More Than Money way, offering wrap-around, in-kind support alongside funding. The Partnership Exchange brings this approach into one shared space, helping people move away from one-off transactions and towards partnerships that feel balanced, useful and genuinely beneficial on both sides.
