Celebrating 10 Years of Brighton Soup – A Night of Community, Kindness and Local Giving

Last week, we were thrilled to join Brighton Soup in celebrating their 10th anniversary, marking a decade of grassroots giving and community spirit. The event brought together changemakers, supporters, and local residents for an uplifting evening filled with compassion, creativity and connection.

The Pearce Foundation was proud to support this milestone occasion with an £800 donation, recognising the important work Brighton Soup has championed over the past ten years, supporting local ideas with the power to create real, meaningful change.

As part of the event, four inspiring community projects took to the stage to share their vision and pitch for funding:

  • Hearts & Flowers – aiming to create a beautiful, accessible flower bed for the whole community to enjoy

  • Healthlink – Drivers Scheme – a volunteer-led service helping people aged 50+ attend medical appointments and receive compassionate support

  • One for All Forest School – providing nature-based sessions for neurodivergent adults to relax, learn, and connect

  • The Village Foodbank – offering a welcoming space for minoritised and LGBTQ+ communities to access food and support

Each pitch was packed with passion and purpose, making it a tough decision for the audience to vote for just one. In the end, congratulations went to The Village Foodbank, who received the most votes on the night and took home the prize pot to help further their impactful work.

Huge congratulations to the Village Food Bank for their well-deserved win.

Reflecting on the evening, Pearce Foundation Trustee Charlotte Moroney shared:

"It was such a beautiful night. And so pleased The Pearce Foundation was able to support the pitchers."

With soul-warming soups, mini picnic baskets on every table, and a room full of people who care deeply about their neighbours, the evening was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when communities come together.

We’re honoured to have been part of it.
