A Morning with Apron Creative in Shoreham
We recently had the joy of spending time with two of our charity leaders, Lis and Marion from Apron Creative, at their Community Garden in Shoreham. Tucked away in a peaceful corner of the town, this green space is one of three outdoor venues Apron is developing to bring local people together to learn, share, and grow.
There’s something deeply valuable about being together in person. Stepping outside of day-to-day routines to take a wider look at the work and vision behind it. That’s exactly what this visit offered: space to reflect, reconnect, and look forward.
Our Founder, Jane, shared her thoughts after the visit:
“Visiting partners in their own space brings their work to life and offers fresh insight into how we can best support them. Our model is all about staying close and local, so we can offer the right kind of support at the right time.”
As with many of our partnership visits, the morning became more than just a catch-up. It became a moment to pause and think strategically. We listened, asked questions, shared ideas, and supported Apron Creative to reflect on their work, not just in it. It’s this kind of wraparound, reflective support that lies at the heart of The Pearce Foundation’s approach to partnership.
We’re proud to walk alongside community-rooted organisations like Apron Creative, offering encouragement, perspective, and space to think.
