Partners and Trustees Come Together for an Evening of Connection and Reflection
Earlier this month, The Pearce Foundation hosted an informal evening catch-up with partners and trustees — an opportunity to pause, connect, and reflect together on the past year’s journey.
Held in the cabin, the relaxed one-hour session offered space for open conversation over drinks and nibbles, with calm background music setting the tone for thoughtful exchange. The gathering came about following feedback from trustees, who shared that they would welcome more opportunities to engage directly with partners and learn about their work, progress, and experiences.
The evening provided just that — a chance for genuine dialogue about the impact of partnership working, the challenges faced, and the collective progress achieved across the year. Partners shared updates on their activities, how they’ve been feeling about their work, and areas where closer collaboration could bring even greater benefit.
With delicious food and drinks kindly prepared by Jane, the atmosphere felt easy and unhurried. Many reflected on how valuable it was to simply slow down, talk honestly, and connect with others who share the same goals and values.
There was a real sense of community and shared purpose throughout the evening — a reminder that while each organisation works in its own way, we are all part of a wider effort to make a positive difference.
The feedback from those who attended was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing appreciation for the space to come together informally and strengthen relationships across the partnership.
The Pearce Foundation plans to continue creating opportunities like this to build connection, collaboration, and shared learning across its network of partners.
