Our 2024 Annual Report is Here

We are proud to share the launch of our Annual Report 2024, which captures a year of walking alongside some of Sussex’s most inspiring fledgling charities.

At a time when small charities are facing increasing pressures, from rising living costs to funding cuts and operational challenges, our commitment to “more than money” support has never felt more urgent. This year, we worked closely with five grassroots organisations, helping them strengthen their foundations and build for the future.

And the impact speaks volumes:

  • 100% of our partners said their foundations are now more robust

  • 100% rated our support as more impactful than funding alone

  • 96% believe our support will have a lasting, positive impact on their communities

“Support from the Pearce Foundation was not just financial, which I have not come across before. Discussing our organisation in detail made me think about the future sustainability rather than just dealing with the day-to-day issues.”
Becca Lundberg, The La Di Da Society

Our work this year ranged from helping partners build strategic plans and develop leadership skills, to website overhauls, storytelling support, and securing major funding bids.

“The Pearce Foundation helped us find direction and how to communicate this effectively.”
Lindsay White, Community Supporters

“Support from the Pearce Foundation was not just financial, which I have not come across before. Discussing our organisation in detail made me think about the future sustainability rather than just dealing with the day-to-day issues.”
Zoe Prior, Founder, Pass It On

“To have external belief in our concept and dream meant the world to us.”
Victoria Read, The CAY College

The report also includes a full case study from The La Di Da Society, whose daytime cabarets and dance events bring joy and connection to older people in Hove, and insights from Wellbody Wellmind Wellbeing, who said their organisation now feels "more sustainable and robust."

As Founder and Chair Jane Robbie reflects in her welcome message:

“Though we are small, our impact is real—and it is meaningful.”

The report also looks ahead to 2025, as we welcome four new partner charities and support Flourish Mentors in progressing to the next stage of our three-part grant-making journey.

We are so grateful to our partners, trustees, and volunteer skill-sharers who make this community possible. Here’s to another year of growing together.
